Solar Monitoring & Maintenance

Plan for performance after handover

Candela Green Energy offers Solar IoT monitoring, inspection, maintenance and operation support in Malaysia. An agreed care plan helps owners understand what will be monitored, which checks are scheduled and how issues will be reported.

What does monitoring cover?

Monitoring provides visibility into system performance. Discuss which generation data, equipment status and alerts your proposed platform can provide. Confirm who can access the information, who reviews it and what happens when an issue is identified.

A monitoring dashboard and a maintenance contract have different responsibilities. Agree whether the scope includes active review, reporting and follow-up, rather than assuming that platform access includes a staffed response service.

How is inspection and maintenance planned?

Share the system’s location, capacity, installation date, equipment details and available commissioning or maintenance records. Include recent performance concerns or fault messages. Existing monitoring access can help the initial review, but site access and equipment compatibility should be confirmed with the team.

The agreed plan should define inspection scope, visit frequency, safe access arrangements and reporting. Identify any cleaning, testing or corrective work included in the quotation and how recommendations will be approved. Work involving replacement parts or specialist access may need a separate scope.

What affects the cost and timing?

System size, site access, equipment condition, monitoring requirements and visit frequency influence the cost. Ask whether the fee covers scheduled work only or also includes investigation of reported faults, travel, parts and follow-up visits.

Agree scheduling around your property or facility operations. Fault investigation, replacement equipment availability and warranty coordination can affect completion time. Response commitments should be stated in the contract; this page does not promise a universal response time.

Questions for your care plan

Can Candela assess an existing installation?

Share your equipment and system records with the team to discuss suitability and access requirements. Confirm the scope before booking work, including any restrictions related to existing warranties or monitoring accounts.

Is maintenance the same as an equipment warranty?

Review them separately. Ask who handles warranty enquiries, what documentation is needed and which inspection, labour or replacement costs fall within the agreed service terms.

What should an inspection report explain?

Agree the reporting requirements in advance. Useful records identify the checks completed, findings, recommended actions and any further work requiring approval. Keep them alongside equipment and commissioning documents.
